Building successful projects in the Federal market calls for a clear understanding of goals. It also takes a commitment to communication and a willingness to explore innovative solutions.
Building successful projects in the federal market calls for a clear understanding of goals. It also takes a commitment to communication and a willingness to explore innovative solutions. Just as important, it takes drive – the drive to overcome technical challenges and deliver what’s promised, on time and on budget.
These attributes have fueled Crowder’s growth for more than six decades and enable us to bring today’s projects to life for Federal owners.
Crowder is known for providing diversified construction services (including design-build) to Federal Government departments and agencies. These include new construction of everything from roads, bridges and dams to water and wastewater treatment plant additions, renovations and security upgrades to electrical distribution systems and green energy projects.
We’re recognized for our ability to plan and execute technically difficult and complex assignments. We’ve also demonstrated consistently superior performance on multi-year and multi-trade construction programs – and as a result stand among an elite corps of American contractors trusted by the U.S. Military for such projects.
Our professional team brings diverse expertise, up-to-date knowledge of construction methods and a passion for performance to every project. The result is a well-managed process and well-received end products – no matter how demanding the circumstances. To meet Federal clients’ unique needs, we have both the know-how and the strategic partnerships to meet requirements for LEED certification, sustainability, 8A and HUBZone goals. Our diversified structure allows us to be an all-in-one construction solution for Federal projects.
Crowder’s design and construction services reflect our customers’ needs for responsive and cost-effective solutions with a focus on safety and quality. We provide superior design-build construction services to a range of local, state and Federal agencies – from municipalities and transportation authorities to Federal facilities.
We specialize in bringing the right environmental solutions to water and wastewater programs. We’ve built hundreds of environmental facilities throughout the Southeast, implementing the highest safety standards in the industry. We also have a full-service electrical and instrumentation department in-house – so we can streamline and more accurately address their implementation.
We handle a variety of infrastructure and multi-craft work, including bridges, deep excavations, special utility work, dam construction, parking decks, tunnels and hydroelectric and marine construction. Our combined expertise in bridges, civil structures and geotechnical construction provides a single point of responsibility and increases project efficiency.
Crowder has expertise building industrial projects for power, chemical, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, fiber, automotive and manufacturing areas – and self-performance capabilities in civil, structural, mechanical, mechanical piping, millwrights, HVAC, electrical and instrumentation.
We focus on workable and constructible solutions built around effective design research, intricate planning processes and stringent regulatory system policies – all while exceeding minimum project standards.
Crowder’s policy is to promote diversity and equal opportunity. We make every effort to identify portions of work that can be subcontracted and encourage Minority and Women-Owned Enterprises, Small and Disadvantaged Businesses, Socially and Economically Disadvantage Businesses and Historically Underutilized Businesses to participate in construction contracts awarded to Crowder.
We have developed an Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) Plan to ensure that we provide equitable opportunity for these businesses to compete for subcontracts and purchase orders.
